Improving your quality of life typically covers three stages:
Stage 1: Deal with any limiting symptoms you may be experiencing.
Stage 2: Create a stronger sense of inner strength and resourcefulness.
Stage 3. Develop and put into action fresh ideas to enrich your quality of life.
It is a bit like working on an overgrown garden. First clear the weeds. Second, nourish the soil. Thirdly design, create and maintain your new garden.
It is worth exploring Stage 1 in more detail: Deal with any symptoms you may be experiencing.
Typical symptoms include:
feeling tense, anxious, insecure, worried, stressed, depressed or fear of the future.
fear of rejection, criticism or looking foolish.
phobias or control of 'nerve's' such as in public speaking.
relationship anxiety and other relationship difficulties.
past traumatic or painful memories that still affect your life today.
frustration or anger when life feels out of control.
recurring shame, embarrassment, blushing or guilt.
feeling awkward, shy or 'clumsy' in company.
talking yourself out of things - or other forms of self-sabotage.
heartbreak, loss or grief.
over reliance on food, TV, cigarettes etc.
difficult times of change such as relationship problems, redundancy, career move etc.
lack of motivation, feeling stuck in a rut, or without any clear sense of direction in life.
feeling the fun has gone out of life, moping around and lost your 'umph'!
a lack or loss of self-confidence, self-belief, or self-worth.
procrastination, indecision or fear of success or failure.
serious health issues.
feeling that 'there must be more to life than this'.
looking to feel more assertive, secure and equipped to create a better future for yourself.
This creates a solid foundation to move on to Step 2 and 3.
